Alieu Khan create short documentary for school children
In November 2011,Hej Åland coorindator and founder Alieu Khan is travelling to his native country, The Gambia. One of his assigments during his two-weeks stay is to create a thirty- minutes documentary about the life of a school child in developing West Africa.
The project is developed by Hej Åland and sponsored by the Åland Local Government (landskapsregering). The aim is to help in raising awareness of cultural and social diversity among the children of the island.
Alieu and his local team are expected to spend atleast 3 days in one of The Gambia's biggest towns, documenting the activities of a young boy, whose father is a firm believer and practicer of polygamy. More on this soon!
